Subscription and billing
- Automatic renewal. Premium access is $10 USD per month and renews automatically every month at $10 USD until you cancel. Stripe charges the card you provide at checkout on the same day each month. There is no fixed minimum term.
- How to cancel. Cancel at any time from your account page (Account → Open billing portal), or email hello@apprise.news and we will cancel for you. Cancelling stops all future charges. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for; we don't pro-rate partial months.
- Refunds. Yes. If Apprise isn’t for you, email hello@apprise.news within 30 days of a charge and we’ll refund that charge in full — no conditions, and it applies to every month, not just your first. Cancelling on its own stops future charges but doesn’t automatically refund the current month, so ask us and we’ll send it back. This is in addition to any statutory cancellation right you have where you live (for example the 14-day right of withdrawal in the EU and UK), which we always honour.
- If a payment fails we'll attempt to recharge per Stripe's default schedule. After repeated failures the subscription is canceled.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice sent to your account email; existing subscriptions are honoured at the prior price through the next renewal, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
- Premium+ is a waitlist, not a plan you can buy. Joining it charges nothing and creates no subscription.
Content
Your use
- Resell, republish, or redistribute our content.
- Aggregate, scrape, recreate, or copy our content, whether by hand or by automated means.
- Use the service to train AI models.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, or authentication.
- Use the service to harass, defame, or harm anyone.
Comments and other content you post
- Licence. By posting, you grant Apprise a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, display and distribute your contribution on and in connection with the service, and to remove it. The licence lasts as long as the content is on the service, plus a short period for backups. You keep ownership, and you can delete your own comments at any time.
- You must have the right to post it. Don't post anything you don't own or have permission to share.
- Content standards. No unlawful content; no harassment, threats or incitement to violence; no hate speech targeting people for who they are; no doxxing or other people's personal information; no spam, scams or undisclosed commercial promotion; no impersonation; no sexual content involving minors; no malware; no deliberate falsehoods presented as reporting.
- Moderation. We may remove or hide any contribution, and suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion and without notice where the content is unlawful or clearly breaches these standards. Comments are also hidden automatically once enough distinct readers report them, pending human review. We are under no obligation to monitor, and removing one thing doesn't oblige us to remove another.
- Appeals. If your comment was removed or your account restricted and you think we got it wrong, email hello@apprise.news with the article and the approximate time you posted. We aim to give a human answer within 14 days, and we will restore anything we removed in error.
- No endorsement. Comments are the views of the people who wrote them, not of Apprise, and are not editorial content.
