What we know
What we know: The road for LIV Golf players to return remains under construction
Compiled Nov 6

What we know
- LIV Golf's future is being resolved in a New Jersey bankruptcy court, with the next hearing in just over two weeks.
- LIV said in a Wednesday bankruptcy hearing it would not proceed with a new version and would begin shutting down operations.
- The same day, a judge approved Jon Rahm's separation from LIV Golf.
- PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp has scheduled a virtual news conference for Nov. 17 to discuss the 2028 competitive model, not the return of LIV players.
- Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton have status on the European tour; DeChambeau and Cameron Smith also have access as recent major champions.
- Dustin Johnson has been testing equipment and is described as eager to play against the best competition available to him.
What we don’t know yet
- Rahm said he has not yet discussed with the PGA Tour whether there's a path back for next year.
- Rolapp has not been willing to discuss LIV players' return until they are relieved of their contracts.
- The outcome of the new PGA Tour-European tour alliance program is still to be determined, with early indications of few cards for 2028.
Open questions
- Will the PGA Tour create a formal path for LIV players like Rahm and DeChambeau to return?
- How many PGA Tour cards will actually be available under the new European tour alliance for 2028?
- What happens to Bryson DeChambeau now that LIV Golf is shutting down?
- Will Charles Howell III's top-50 career money exemption be usable given the 15-start requirement?
