The psychedelic pop artist Peter Max has died at 88, his son says

   Peter Max Finkelstein is born in Berlin to a Jewish family.

   Max opens a graphic design studio with friends.

   Max paints Statue of Liberty portraits at the White House at Nancy Reagan's invitation.
7. 1997
   Max pleads guilty to tax fraud.

   Peter Max dies.
